UNWIND ……Observing the variance of Country side with Ayurveda…

Namasthe (Greetings),

My name is Aji Alex and I am your host at Mannaas Veedu. I would like to introduce my family and me to you in brief.. I was born in Kerala and after graduation I completed hotel management from PUSA Institute, Delhi. Thereafter I worked in various capacities in the hotel industry for the past two decades of which 10 years was at the vice president level in various brands. I started my career with ITC and later took up the challenging job of operating and marketing single ownership properties in various locations like Trivandrum, Ooty, Agra and Jaisalmer, to name a few.

I have realized during my work life that it is my duty to showcase the culture, tradition and purity of the village life and nature to the world. I have a passion for my village from my childhood. I decided to actualize my dream in my village without disturbing or damaging the nature. So I set out to develop a small boutique place where one can unwind , observing the variance of country side with a healing touch.

My dream to make a house in my native Kerala in the traditional Architectural style, has been realized now, with the blessings of my parents, in the form of a three bedroom Nalukettu house having a central courtyard with all modern amenities in addition to the spa wing with two bed rooms.

My mother Mrs.Thankamma Joy is a housewife who loves to cook a lot and is a specialist in Syrian Christian cooking with grandmother recipes while my father Mr. Joy Alexander is a retired Army Officer who loves to spend his time in domestic farming and is very passionate about his cattle and pets. They are totally dedicated in running the house with love and passion with help of skilled manpower.

We also have a 125 old family house in the same compound about which we boast of a lot as it is the oldest house in the village where two rooms are open for the guests.

My colleagues and I hope you will have a pleasant stay and enjoyable time with us in Mannaas Veedu . This is God's own country. There are numerous places of worship around this particular region. The water of holy river Pampa bless this land and its people .
Our effort at Mannaas Veedu, is to provide you with simple, holistic experience of living in a Kerala home. As such, we don't look to operate this place like a hotel, but rather like a home away from home.

We also look forward to meet all your requirements (well almost all) ranging from special tours to having some special type of fish. We have an Ayurveda Spa and clinic ' The Healing Touch '. The new age wellness spa provides relaxing and different other kinds of massages, special treatments according to the doctor's prescription.
